Oh, Danny-boy
OAK 9, CHW 8 11 innings
You sure love those extra innings nailbiters (last game he started: OAK 10, TOR 7 11 innings), do you Danny-boy. After nine runs, fifteen hits, eleven innings and one blown save the A's have swept the White Sox in Chicago.
You know, people might bitch about Street being overused today. I for one, don't really care. Today is the only day that I will probably not bitch about Street's overuse, he has all of the All-Star Break to rest up.
The A's enter the break one game over .500. Not too shabby when you consider May.
I wonder if Haren's performance today is anyway related to the speedsters on the White Sox.
Good game, early on (and even later on) the A's threw alot of chances away, but in the end, they clawed their way to a win and a winning record.
