Looking at the positives...

OAK 3, WAS 4

Well, at least the A's scored runs in innings other than the first...

At least the game was exciting and close at the very end...

At least Blanton struck out six...

At least my fears about Kotsay's back were unfounded...

But in the end, it was another A's loss. Does anybody notice the corellation between Chavez's hitting and the A's winning? He may not be a clubhouse leader, but he sure is an offensive leader. OK, tomorrow is A's at Atlanta. Let's hope that Haren continues his recent excellence and if the A's are behind, let's pray for a Braves bullpen implosion. I had Kolb and Bernero in my fantasy teams and they both proceeded to stink things up for me.

Let's turn the corner, A's.

UPDATE 8:53 PM: Same name, similar thoughts: Ken Arneson is also looking at the silver lining over at Catfish Stew.
