It worked
OAK 11, ATL 5
My Chavez Tracker, that is. If you don't know what my Chavez Tracker is, look at my sidebar.
E. Chavez: 5 for 5, 2 HR, 4 RBIDidn't I say something regarding the correlation between Chavez's hitting and the A's winning? I did, and I'm not the only person to recall it.
It would be a bit foolish for me to say that the A's victory is solely attributed to Chavez's offensive production, there were many others who produced in clutch situations too, like Scutaro, Kotsay, even Kendall threw out a runner at second (and he got on base a lot too). The A's finally won a series on the road again, and it's about time.
After watching the entire season where the A's were hapless in RISP situations, it felt good that the A's were finally able to break a close game wide open.
I'd also like to thank Adam Bernero for making this win possible for the A's. You have redeemed yourself quite well since you screwed up my fantasy team.
