Bragging Rights...

They sure are sweet, especially the traditonally pro-Giants press starts wrtiting stuff like this:

"The 2005 Giants are worse than bad. They are excruciating to watch."

I have been waiting for this day for quite some time. Today is the day the Giants pay for always building a team to make the playoffs now and not creating a team who will contend for a few years. Now the Giants are a team with too many bad contracts. Although they have more monetary resources than the A's I really think it's going to take some time for them to dig out of this, a la the 49ers.

The best thing the Giants have is they're probably not going to lose too many bandwagon fans (although they will probably lose alot) because they have a nice ballpark in a trendy neighborhood while the A's have their stadium in the ghetto. The Giants should be thankful for a lot East Bay drama surrounding a new A's ballpark.
