Ask and ye shall receive?

It's no secret that a few A's fans and myself are asking for a shakeup. Well, is this the shakeup that we were waiting for?

According to this AP report Beane had a closed door meeting with Ken Macha and the rest of the coaching staff, although details were scant Dan Johnson's name was mentioned and Beane gave a "vote of confidence" to the coaching staff, however much that is worth.

I don't know how DJ's going to be called up with a logjam of lefty 1B/DH in Oakland but I do think a shakeup's in the works. A few A's blogs have reported that Matt Watson has been called up from AAA Sacramento, I'm still waiting for confirmation from the "real media."

Is a trade coming soon?

UPDATE (5/14/05 5:50 PM):

Not only was Matt Waston called up, he starting tonight in Left Field tonight. Jermaine Clark has been sent down and Rich Harden has been placed on the 15 Day DL. That means the A's have one roster spot open if my reckoning is correct. More callups from Sac to follow.
