You know, with all of the problems in this world of ours, I'm glad that our elected officials are hard at work solving them and making the world a better place.

Texas House OKs Ban on Sexy Cheerleading AP via SF Chronicle.

I'm so glad that Texas will soon be safe from the dangers of high school girls in miniskirts.

Sideline booty-shakin' at Texas high school football games would be restricted to more ladylike performances from the cheering squad, under legislation approved Tuesday by the Texas House.

The bill would prohibit "overtly sexually suggestive" routines at school-sponsored events, giving the state education commissioner authority to request that school districts review performances.

So what is a "ladylike performance" from a bunch of high school cheerleaders? What? They're going back to some 1910's cheers, "Three cheers for the Midland-Lee Rebels!" "Hip-hip, HOO-RAH!" Or, "Huzzah! That's Bully!"

You go keep us safe from high school cheerleaders, Texas...Whatever.
