Nick Swisher: No Broken Bones

Whew.

Swisher has been placed on the 15-day DL and Jermaine Clark has been called up from AAA Sacramento to take his place in the roster.

After a round of tests it was reveiled that Swisher sprained his AC (acromio-clavicular) joint. The AC joint is the joint that connects the shoulder to the clavicle. Inital reports said that he sprained his clavicle and I was wondering how somebody had sprained a bone, but this makes sense.

I saw the replays of the the hit and I still cringe at seeing that collision with the wall. I'm glad there's no broken bones and here's to a speedy recovery Swish.
