April is almost over, which means on Sunday the A's will no longer have the "we're slow starters" excuse to rely upon when they lose games.

Haren pitched well, K'ed nine and allowed two earned runs. I have a feeling that Ricardo Rincon is going to be our new Mecir; decent pitcher, decent stats yet unreliable in a pressure situation. But what can I say? He's our only lefty in the 'pen.

You can't win games unless you score some runs. Well, May is right around the corner, and after Sunday the A's have one less excuse. We can't waste these pitching performances.
