I ♥ Kotsay

SEA 5, OAK 6 10 innings

Mark Kotsay, 5-for-6 scored twice and drove in the critical game winning run in the tenth inning. How can you not ♥ Kotsay?

Oh yeah, Blanton (0-2) gets another no-decision. This guy just can't get any love from this offense. But we won, and baseball is a team effort.

Yeah, this didn't have to have gone to extra frames because we've left a whole lot of runners on base and failed to score with the bases loaded. Yeah or LOB today is obscene, but do you know what is worse? The Mariner's LOB.
Team LOB: 14 (SEA) 11 (OAK)
Dotel blew his first save of the season, but I really don't think he had a bad outing. He came in as a stopper in the eighth when Calero loaded up the bases and I think by the ninth, he was spent, I had my worries during spring, but this guy is doing well.

Our bullpen was worked today. It's pretty safe to assume the Calero and Dotel will be unavailable tomorrow. I guess our pen will be Duke, Yabu, Street, Rincon and Cruz tomorrow. I'm not worried about the status of the pen but I wonder who our closer will be tomorrow.

Scutaro drew two walks today, bringing his YTD season total to 10. I'm going to revive Scutaro Watch, at least for a bit.

Yabu got his second win, the A's end April playing .500.
