OT: Second Thoughts on that Cathedral

I was genuinely wowed by the original designs of new Cathedral being built in Oakland. Just look at how graceful this is.



I then had a chance to look at a conceptual drawing from the people who are contracted to build the thing and well..I'm not so enthused about it anymore.

I seriously think they butchered the design. The graceful lines of the original designe are obscued by what I would like to call a glass case. It's so tacky. It's like a geodesic dome cathedral.

Only time will tell.
