Oh snap

OAK 4, SEA 11

The Oaktown Green and Gold haven't been faring so well this spring. Well at least the games don't count.

Oh, how I wish they'd just post the box scores on the internet, it's spring training and I'm more interested in individual performances of players rather than linescores. It's finals week at school and I don't have much time, or any time, to listen to Robert Buan's mediorce...OK, horrible, play by play of the A's Cactus League Action on KFRC, which will soon be sold to a Fundamentalist Christian Radio Network.

Robert, although I respect you and all, for the love of anything holy just go back to Extra Innings and stay there, I don't think you're cut of the playcaller's cloth.

Let's look on the bright side of today. Like Swisher seems to have broken out of his funk (it's hidden under a Scott Hatteberg as human interest story headline):
SWISHER ON THE MOVE:@ Outfielder Nick Swisher doubled his spring hits total after going 3-for-4 in Tuesday's 11-4 loss to the Seattle Mariners.

Swisher, the heir apparent to the right field job vacated when Jermaine Dye signed with the Chicago White Sox, improved his average to .194 from .111.

After Swisher got three hits in his first 27 at bats, A's manager Ken Macha said "right now Swisher is not swinging the bat very well" but also suggested he will likely earn a spot on the opening day roster because of his ability to play all three outfield positions and first base.

Also Huston Street has yet to be sent down to AAA and Bobby Kielty seems to be nursing his bum calf.
