Crazy! Cool! Go!

It's official: MLB has approved the sale of the A's to Lew Wolff and his group of investors.

Cue West Side Story music and khaki-clad dancers. Why? It's because the majority partner (but not managing partner, that's Wolff) of the A's is now John Fisher, son of Gap founder Don Fisher. He was part of the group that bought the Giants in the early 90's to keep the Giants from moving away to Florida, he sold his interest in the Giants to buy the A's. Let's hope his motivations for buying the A's are similar, to keep the team from moving away.

Does this mean that I could use my Gap Card to buy A's tickets now?
